WHAT IS THERE TO DO IN VIEQUES?
Vieques Island is not commercially developed. There are still plenty of wide-open spaces, country roads and rolling hills. The language spoken most often is English and the American dollar is the standard. Most credit cards are accepted in the majority of businesses.
In Vieques the beaches are amazing, plentiful and empty for the most part. There are no movie theaters, shopping malls or traffic lights. There are a few art galleries, small stores and some local craftsmen. There is great snorkeling and scuba diving, horseback riding, and one of the world’s finest bioluminescent bays.
We would be happy to help you make arrangements to participate in these activities, if you wish. We have no television but we do have a good hard-cover library and perfect weather, or simply lay back, relax and enjoy our infinity pool, overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
What there is “not to do” here is Vieques’ best feature. Vieques Island gets well seasoned travelers who have been many places and find this the place where they always want to return. They read, walk, sleep, swim, eat and make new friends.
Please email us your other questions and concerns. We’d love to answer you personally! We look forward to seeing you soon and sharing with you our view of the Blue Horizon.

What a great pool! Really a perfect place to stay. Loved the room. This fits the definition of “a tropical paradise”. Friendly people, great views, good food, and wonderful drinks.

This is what I expect for a Caribbean Getaway…Did I say the pool is great? Perfect room, friendly staff, and yes all that! Good restaurant, solid drinks… Renting a Jeep made touring the Island easy, and seeing the bio-luminescent bay is a must, but WOW! What a nice truly boutique hotel paradise!
